About
The original student union at Emory University, the Alumni Memorial University Center (AMUC), offers spaces that promote learning and growth for all members of the Emory community. Built in 1950 to honor the university’s community members lost at war, the AMUC includes several event spaces and vital Campus Life offices. Student-facing services and resources are located on the first floor of the AMUC.

First Floor
The Barkley Forum for Debate, Deliberation, and Dialogue strives to embody every aspect of Emory's vision statement. Programmatic decisions are driven by a desire to assist in making Emory a "destination university internationally recognized as an inquiry-driven, ethically engaged, and diverse community, whose members work collaboratively for positive transformation in the world through courageous leadership." Competitive debate, community outreach, and campus engagement support students’ holistic development, helping them become leaders who improve the world.
Emory Dining is responsible for operating on-campus food locations and Emory Catering. The department is committed to delivering an innovative dining experience focusing on health, nutrition, and sustainability. Its main offices are located in the AMUC.
Campus Life Human Resources manages the hiring, training, and HR-related work for professional staff and student assistants at Campus Life.
The Community Fridge and Pantry is available to anyone on campus who needs food. The fridge is located on the first floor of the AMUC. If you enter from the ADA ramp entrance, the refrigerator is directly inside to the right. The fridge is stocked when food is available. The Office of Respect is a 24-hour support resource (via phone at 404-727-1514) that helps Emory students impacted by interpersonal violence. They have advocates available to offer support, help you learn more about your options and rights, assist with safety planning, provide legal and medical accompaniment, and/or offer academic assistance. They also aim to reduce incidents of sexual assault and interpersonal violence through preventative work, bystander training, and support of peer networks. The Office of Respect also has a Survivor Lounge, a space for students to meet with staff and seek support.
Student Case Management and Intervention Services (SCMIS) offers a safe and welcoming space, access to resources, and judgment-free guidance and assistance to Emory students as they develop their roles as contributing members of society.
As a university related to the United Methodist Church, Emory provides ample and creative opportunities for enhancing religious life on campus through worship, service, education, and journeys of reconciliation. Undergraduate and graduate student organizations enrich the diverse religious character of the campus. The Dean of Spiritual and Religious Life works with religious life staff representing various religious traditions on Emory's Atlanta and Oxford campuses to develop an extraordinarily diverse religious life program.

Theater Emory is the producing affiliate of Theater Studies within the Department of Theater and Dance at Emory University.

The Office of Student Conduct is responsible for upholding the integrity and purpose of the university by fair and consistent application of policies and procedures to undergraduate students’ behavior. This ensures a community that respects the dignity and right of all persons to reach their highest potential.
Fourth Floor
The Office of Campus Life Technology Services (CLTS) provides various technological platforms to Emory Campus Life departments and oversees the bookstores' positive impact on Emory's diverse learning community.
